KHATTS – Ken’s Hinterland Adventure Tours and Transfer Service (“KHATTS Tours”, “we”, “us”), Commonwealth of Dominica, operates khattstours.com. We respect your privacy and keep data collection to the minimum needed to answer your enquiries and run your tours. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

1. Who Is Responsible

2. What We Collect and Why

• Booking and contact forms: name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, country of residence, travel dates, group size, arrival type and any details you choose to share (for example dietary or mobility needs). We use this solely to answer your enquiry, prepare and operate your booking, and communicate with you about it (performance of a contract or steps prior to one).
• Direct messages: if you contact us by email, phone or WhatsApp, we process the contact details and content you send us in order to reply. WhatsApp is operated by WhatsApp/Meta and subject to its own privacy policy.
• Server logs: our hosting provider automatically records technical data (IP address, date and time, requested page, browser type) for security, error analysis and abuse prevention (legitimate interest). Logs are routinely deleted.

3. Cookies and Local Storage

This website uses only technically necessary cookies and local storage: a session cookie required for the booking functionality, a cookie that remembers your language choice, and a local-storage entry that remembers when you dismiss the site notice. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies and we do not run third-party analytics.

4. Third-Party Content

Some media on this site (photos, videos, fonts) may be delivered through content delivery networks (for example the WordPress.com CDN and Google Fonts). When your browser loads these files, the provider receives your IP address as part of the technical request. We embed this content to display the site correctly and quickly (legitimate interest).

5. Who We Share Data With

We never sell your data and never share it for marketing. Your details are visible only to us and to the technical providers needed to run this website (hosting, email delivery), who may process them solely on our behalf. We may disclose data where required by law.

6. How Long We Keep Data

Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are deleted within 12 months. Booking-related correspondence is kept as long as needed for the booking and any legal retention or warranty periods, then deleted.

7. Your Rights

You may at any time request access to the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to processing based on legitimate interest, or request a copy in a portable format. If you are located in the European Union, these rights follow from the GDPR, and you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. 8. Security

The site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and is protected by technical security measures (hardened configuration, security headers, restricted interfaces). No internet transmission is ever 100% secure, but we keep the amount of stored personal data deliberately small.

9. Children

Our services are booked by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children; details of minors taking part in a tour are provided by their parent or guardian as part of the booking.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy when the website or legal requirements change. The current version, with its date, is always published on this page.
