Dominica is an independent island nation in the Eastern Caribbean, nestled between the French islands of Guadeloupe to the north and Martinique to the south. It is not the Dominican Republic, which shares the island of Hispaniola with Haiti in the Greater Antilles.
An action-packed day visiting two of Dominica’s most beautiful waterfalls. Travel up the lush Roseau Valley to the village of Trafalgar to see the twin Trafalgar Falls, with the option to hike over boulders to the smaller fall’s river pool, followed by a relaxing soak in nearby hot springs exceeding 104°F.
From there, journey to Victoria Falls near the village of Delices, fed by the mineral-rich White River originating in the Valley of Desolation, with a final swim to refresh before the journey back.
