Dominica is an independent island nation in the Eastern Caribbean, nestled between the French islands of Guadeloupe to the north and Martinique to the south. It is not the Dominican Republic, which shares the island of Hispaniola with Haiti in the Greater Antilles.
A unique adventure combining two of Dominica's prime natural sites. Hike roughly an hour and fifteen minutes through the rainforest of Morne Trois Piton National Park along a fairly well-defined but occasionally rugged trail to Middleham Falls, standing approximately 280 feet high, with a refreshing swim in the pool at its base.
From there, head to Laudat and the exotic Ti Tou Gorge - formed by pyroclastic flows from ancient volcanic eruptions and fed by a mountain lake at 3,000 feet - where you'll swim (wearing mandatory life belts) into the narrow gorge to discover a hidden world inside the mountain.
